Badge-it Fall Detection, Panic, and Wandering Alert

Badge-it Fall Detection, Panic, and Wandering Alert is a safety system designed to track the movements of the user, providing peace of mind to caregivers concerned with their safety. It is intended for use with the Alert-It Pager, which is available separately. The user can wear it on his or her clothing, or it can be clipped to a belt or carried in a pocket. Small and unobtrusive, it will send an automatic alarm signal if the user should fall or use the panic button. It detects falls by sensing any sudden change in a position. It first provides a warning beep. If the user is resting, he or she can cancel the alert by pressing a button within 15 seconds. If the button is not pressed, it will send an alert to the caregiver. The same system can also be used to define a safe area, so that if the user moves outside of this zone it signals an alert.
