ntouch PC is a video telephony program designed for use by people who are deaf or hard or hearing and use sign language to communicate. ntouch PCis designed to be used with the Sorenson Video Relay Service (SVRS). It allows the user to place and receive video relay calls via SVRS to people who have a regular telephone using their computer. The computer must have a built-in camera or a web cam added to the system. This program also provides access to SVRS’s SignMail service that delivers messages in ASL using video recordings transmitted to the phone. ntouch PC can store contacts and recently called numbers, and it tracks missed video calls. Contacts can be imported from a VP-200 Videophone (see separate entry). Using SVRS, ntouch PCcan also be used to call 911 for emergencies. COMPATIBILITY: For use with IBM and compatible computers.
