Bill offers help to those with Alzheimer's

Jacksonville Journal-Courier - 4/16/2021

Apr. 15—A bipartisan bill has been introduced to help those handling Alzheimer's, dementia and other health issues among family members.

Congressman Darin LaHood, co-chair of the Ways and Means Alzheimer'sWorking Group, said that the Comprehensive Care for Alzheimer's Act would help 95% of those dealing with the disease.

"Alzheimer's impacts millions of families in America and in Illinois' 18th District. It is important that we continue to work to provide high quality care to individuals impacted by this disease," he said.

One in 10 seniors in the U.S. struggle with the disease and it is expected to increase to 14 million over the next 30 years.
