How are people with underlying health conditions coping with the coronavirus: find out on today’s Facebook Live

Patriot-News - 9/15/2020

People with serious underlying medical conditions and those over 65 years old are most vulnerable to hospitalization and death from the coronavirus.

Experts in diabetes, kidney and heart disease and Sickle Cell anemia are guests at 2 p.m. Tuesday for “Live On with Joyce Davis,” on PennLive’s Facebook Page.

Oralia Garcia Dominic, Ph.D, is an expert in health disparities and how conditions such as hart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure put minority communities most at risk from COVID-19. She joins Dr. Dr. Gwendolyn Poles, an Internal Medicine Specialist in Harrisburg with the South Central Sickle Cell Anemia Association, and Phyllis Hicks, Executive Director of the Kidney Foundation of Greater Harrisburg, to discuss how the pandemic has impacted people with these conditions.

Bring your respectful questions and comments to today’s “Live On with Joyce Davis,” on PennLive’s Facebook page.
