Hello, My name is Samantha Rivas and I am a 4th year Doctoral Candidate at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. In addition to being a student, I am also a Housing Specialist for Transitional Housing Program Plus (THPP) in San Mateo, CA. I am performing research for my dissertation, examining how familial relationships impact transitional age foster youths' emergence into adulthood. It is important that the entire survey be completed, or the data will not count and participants will not be eligible for compensation. Please emphasize this when sharing it with youth, and I encourage you to support them through the survey. Participants are eligible for the study if they are: 1.) Between 18-25 years old 2.) Were involved in the foster care system through the age of 18, for at least a year (current involvement in foster care extension is okay, if applicable) 3.) Are fluent in English Participation in this study will involve taking an online survey that should take no more than 15 minutes. Participation and responses will be anonymous and voluntary. No personal or identifiable information will be collected, and IP addresses will not be recorded. Upon completing the survey there will be an option to enter a drawing for one of 10 $20 Amazon gift cards, upon which youth will provide identifiable information if they choose to. To participate in the study, please click or copy and paste the following URL: https://alliant.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0MMC0kQYMU1beAd I have additional materials for marketing, and can share upon receiving a response from you. This study has been approved by the Alliant International University Institutional Review Board (IRB#: 1809115580), and is being supervised by Dr. Jerry Michaels, Ph.D. If there are any questions about the study, please feel free to contact me at (650) 207-2126 or srivas@alliant.edu, or Jerry Michaels, Ph.D., at jmichaels@alliant.edu.  Thank you for your time and consideration! I am hoping to collect at least 160 participants, and it has been challenging so far. Please feel free to forward this invitation to any service providers, former foster youth, graduate students, programs, or departments that may find it of interest. Warmly,   Samantha Rivas, M.A. Doctoral Student of Clinical Psychology, Psy.D. California School of Professional Psychology Alliant International University   One Beach Street  San Francisco, CA 94133
