The Basic-D, model 70100, is a double-sided Braille printer or Braille embosser designed for use by persons who are blind or have low vision. The Basic-D uses continuous tractor-feed paper and can print double-sided (interpoint) Braille pages at a rate of 340 pages per hour. The control panel is labeled in both Braille and ink, and voice confirmation is provided when keys are pressed. The Basic-D supports as many as 20 Braille alphabets, and can also print Braille graphics (tactile graphics). This printer comes with a copy of WinBraille, a Braille translation and editing program that works from any common Windows word processor or other Windows application in Windows 9X/Me or NT/2000 operating systems.
