The vOICe Learning Edition for Windows is an audible mobility program designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This software translates video images from a digital camera into sound. When used with a notebook computer and headphones, it functions as a portable mobility system. The program has speech output controls for its major functions, with a mute button. Sound translations can be made of video images in three-dimensional, digital zoom, slow-motion, fast-motion, and negative video modes. Other features include voice output color identification, a scientific graphing calculator, integrated e-mail to send camera snapshots, and an integrated web browser to hear images on the web. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: 300 megahertz (MHz) or faster Pentium processor; Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, or XP operating system; digital camera compatible with the Microsoft Video for Windows (VfW) standard; sound card; stereo headphones.
