The Shoe Horn ProGuide® Precision Model is designed for use by those with upper or lower extremity issues, arthritis, grasping difficulties or mobility disabilities making it difficult to put their shoes on. The Precision model extends from 16 inches to a maximum of 31 inches. It incorporates a "twist & lock" mechanism which fixes it at its longest length. To extend, pull both ends apart simultaneously. Then twist each stem section so the small ball-bearings click into place. To collapse, hold each smaller stem section while twisting the larger one next to it. Then, push both ends together. There is no need to ever touch or press the ball-bearings themselves. Unlike other shoe horns, to use it correctly it must be inserted vertically into the shoe, lining up with the shoe’s heel.
