The SofType 5 is a full featured, onscreen keyboard that replaces the functionality of a desktop keyboard to help individuals with upper extremity disabilities or limited or no use of their hands use a computer. SofType 5 has built-in dwell-based utility for performing mouse button functions such as left, right and middle clicks; double clicks; and drag operations. When the user selects a key on the onscreen keyboard using a mouse or mouse emulator, SofType 5 sends the character represented by that key to the Windows application with focus. SofType 5 offers several keyboard layouts to choose from (e.g., QWERTY, alpha, numpad, etc.), and provides users with the option to build their own in a simple text editor like Notepad. It also includes a word prediction feature that learns as the user types and comes with an initial English language word list. This multi-monitor compatible software also offers Macro capability and abbreviation expansion, allowing users to eliminate keystrokes when entering frequently used phrases, commands and other text entries.

Technical Specifications:

Runs on Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.
