Pedius is a mobile app that allows phone calls for the deaf and hard of hearing. The app allows users to call landline and mobile phones using text messaging. Using speech synthesis and voice recognition technologies, users start a call by typing their message and Pedius will send it to the contact that they choose. User can also use their own voice during the phone call. During phone calls a voice will read what the user wrote. Users can also press the icon to start a call in Voice mode and begin the conversation using their own voice. If the voice transcription is not accurate enough, Pedius automatically shows a few alternatives.
