The DIY Word Wall Folder is a do it yourself educational craft designed for young learners and those with learning disabilities to teach them how to spell words they can read but are having trouble writing. This is because often children have trouble spelling words they know how to read.

Technical Specifications:

Step One: Gather materials.

  • Permanent markers: Blue, Red, Black
  • Manila folder
  • Pencil
  • Ruler

Step Two: Divide the manila folder into squares using the ruler and pencil.

Step Three: Trace over the pencil with the permanent marker.

Step Four: Write letters Aa, Bb, Cc, etc. in the squares. Use one square for Xx/Yy or Yy, Zz, as there aren’t enough boxes.

Step Five: As the child learns to read the words, write them in the appropriate squares.

I never dreamed that God would use my blog in so many ways. I have been able to use it as a platform for writing curricula, authoring books, creating learning apps, and speaking at homeschooling conferences and MOPS groups. Through my blog, I have shared many articles, activities and free printables.
