Topic Talk Conversation Card Game is designed to develop conversational and social skills for individuals with autism, cognitive, or other disabilities. This game will help students begin a conversation with a specific topic, ask/answer questions about the topic, make comments, and/or maintain the topic for a specific time. Using the Topic Cards, a player picks a topic card to begin the game, such as: Talk about your best friend; Talk about where you live; Talk about a time you were afraid; Talk about your worst day ever; Talk about the bravest thing you've ever done.
  • Talk Cards - Use these cards to make a comment about the topic or to answer a question from another player
  • Question Cards - Prompt a player to ask another player questions about the chosen topic
  • DoubleTalk Cards - Slightly more advanced, players use these cards to make two related comments about the topic, or answer a question from another player and give one related comment
  • Wild Cards - 'Special' cards to use as substitutes for Question, Talk and DoubleTalk Cards.

Grades 2 and up. 

The game includes 75 Topic Cards, 70 Talk Cards, 30 Question Cards, 20 DoubleTalk Cards, and 10 Wild Cards for a total of 205 (2-1/2 inches x 3-1/2 inches) cards, plus a 5 minute timer.
