The E2300 Tongue Click Switch is designed as an assistive device intended for users with speech and communication disabilities. The device is designed to assist individuals communicate with a computer or other device using tongue clicks or other high frequency sounds to close a switch. The unit is compatible with equipment using a standard 3.5 millimeters cable and switch input interface. A sensitivity control allows the tongue clicks to be recognized while rejecting background speech. Up to two microphones may be used for optimum sound pickup.  The sound is processed with an audio filter which triggers an optically isolated switch for 100 milliseconds.  An LED indicates when the output switch is closed.
