SARA® is a scanning and reading appliance for people who are blind or have low vision to allow them to hear or see what they want to read without the need for sighted assistance. Features include a scan/record key, a left double arrow, a play/pause key, a select key, a top arrow, a left arrow, a right double arrow, a down arrow, a right arrow, a menu button, and a help key. The device has a power button, a volume rocker, a function keys, a voice rate rocker, and a headset jack. Can be used to open documents, close documents, play audio files (such as DAISY books), read public domain books, save documents, and delete documents.

SARA converts printed text to human-like speech in a certain voice and language. Features a built-in keypad with brightly-colored tactile keys and an audible menu. Low vision users can attach a computer monitor, providing colorful, large print access to complement the speech. Blind and deaf-blind users have the additional option of reading with the SARA in Braille by connecting a Braille display via the SARA’s USB port.

Warranty: This product has a 12-month warranty. Add a one-year Product Maintenance Agreement (PMA) to a purchase to receive unit repairs, including parts and labor, for an additional 12 months.
