The Side Winder II is an adaptive fly fishing rod holder designed for use by individuals with mobility disabilities in one arm or hand. Similar to the Side Winder (please see separate entry), the Side Winder II will have a unique spring-loaded tube that allows the user to adjust the fly fishing rod to 1 of 4 fishing positions. It is designed to be worn on the hip of the side of the dominant limb, and intended to catch smaller sized fish (up to 30 pounds). Available for right or left hand use, the Side Winder II will work with any rod handle less than 1¼-inch in diameter; however, it will work best with a gimbal butt on the rod. The Side Winder II is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2015.
