---- PROTOTYPE --------- PURPOSE: To design a prototype of an echolocation trainer for children and adults who are blind or have low vision. Echolocation is a method by which humans and some type of animals (such as bats and dolphins) can navigate their environment by making sounds and determining the location of objects based on the echos of that sound. The Echolocation Trainer was designed as a learning game for parents with children who have visual disabilities. The game can assist in developing the ability of using sound to “see” surroundings. By making “clicks” with their mouths, players become sensitive to the reflected sounds, helping them identify shapes, objects and textures within the game. TITLE: See With Sound.
