The SuperVario2 32 is a refreshable braille display designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This unit has 32-cell braille display with integrated cursor routing keys located to the left and right of the display, three navigation keys left and three navigation keys right of the display, an on/off button, and internal settings menu in different languages. The unit is available as Human Interface Device (HID) which allows interfacing with computers without any drivers needing to be installed. The device works with screen reading programs such as COBRA (see separate entry) as well as other programs such as Windows Eyes, JAWS, Apple VoiceOver, HAL, Nuance TALKS Premium, and Code Factory Mobile Speak. It connects to a computer through Bluetooth or USB (cable included). The top of the SuperVario2 32's housing is made of aluminum alloy and the body is made of plastic. OPTIONS: Protective slip-cover for traveling and external 100-240 volt, 50-60 Hertz USB battery charger. COMPATIBILITY: IBM PC running Windows or GNU/Linux and Apple Macintosh computers and iPhone, iPad or iPod. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Microsoft Windows; Mac OS X 10.5 Snow Leopard or higher; or iOS 4 or higher. POWER: Built-in rechargeable battery. Charging is through USB or external charger. Operating time is up to approximately 25 hours using Bluetooth. DIMENSIONS (WxDxH): 10.2 x 3 x 0.8 inches. WEIGHT: 1 pound.
