Lyric

The Lyric is a programmable in the ear hearing aid designed for use by individuals with slight to moderately severe hearing loss, which may be sensorineural, conductive, or mixed as long as there are no contraindications. The hearing aid is placed entirely inside the ear canal by a trained hearing care professional. It is placed close to the eardrum and takes advantage of the ear's natural anatomy to minimize background noise and deliver natural sound quality. When placed properly in the ear canal, it is invisible from the outside. The Lyric is worn 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and it can be worn for months at a time. It can be worn during all daily activities, including showering and sleeping. The Lyric is a digitally programmable analog hearing device consisting of a microphone, receiver, sound processing circuitry and battery that are surrounded by biocompatible soft foam seals engineered to contour to the ear canal. The oval shape of the Lyric mirrors the shape of the ear canal, and it can be used in either the left or the right ear. The unit comes with a SoundLync remote control for switching on and off and for adjusting the volume. It is wirelessly programmed by an ear care professional using Lyric HandFit. The unit can be self-removed if necessary using the included removal tool. POWER: Uses a proprietary battery lasting up to 120 days in the ear canal. DIMENSIONS: 16 millimeters long. An ear canal length of 20 millimeters is required for the standard size. Two additional sizes are available for ear canals with a considerably smaller or larger diameter.
