The Original GoBible is a recorded book and voice output recorded book player designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This handheld, portable MP3 audio device is preloaded with an audio version of the entire Christian Bible, including both Old and New Testaments. All content, over 70 hours of audio, has been downloaded onto the unit. An interactive on-screen menu with voice output enables the user to scroll through the Old and New Testaments and select a book, chapter, and verse to begin play. The unit is indexed to each of over 31,000 Bible verses, so the user can begin play, repeat, or bookmark any individual verse in the Bible. Three versions are available: The New International Version (NIV) narrated by Charles Taylor, the King James Version read by Alexander Scourby, or the Word Of Promise (dramatized NKJV). The unit comes with a velvet carrying case, a set of ergonomic earphones, and an instruction manual. It cannot plan any books other than the Bible. POWER: Uses 1 AAA battery (included). DIMENSIONS (HxLxD): 3.5 x 2.5 x 0.5 inches. The screen measures 2.4 inches diagonal. WEIGHT: 3.2 ounces.
