Receptive Identification is a perceptual training program, an auditory perceptual training program, a behavior training program, a cognitive skills tutorial program, and a language tutorial program designed for use with children with low vision or learning, communication, cognitive or hearing disabilities or autism. This application (or app) allows a parent or teacher to use their Apple iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch to help children comprehend simple instructions and practice effective listening behaviors. Receptive Identification contains 85 images. The child is shown three images per page and asked with mixed and varied phrases to identify common objects and people. Examples include: “touch the cat,” “find the guitar,” “show me the scissors” or “where is the firefighter.” When the child or student responds appropriately, the app compliments him/her with varied verbal and random visual praises. Sound can be turned off, and the app can be used by both visual and auditory learners. COMPATIBILITY: For use with the Apple iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Apple iOS 2.2.1 or later.
