The PowerTel 601 is a visual and vibrating telephone signal designed to alert people who are blind, hard of hearing or have low vision that the telephone is ringing. The PowerTel 601 is worn like a bracelet or wrist watch. This wireless device vibrates and an LED indicator flashes when a call is received. The unit is water resistant, has “low battery” and “out of range” indicator lights, and can be used for up to 50 hours in standby mode without recharging. When used as part of the PowerTel 680 (see separate entry) combination of telephone and answering machine, the PowerTel 601 also has the ability to answer calls in speakerphone mode and a dedicated button to automatically dial emergency numbers. POWER: The wrist unit has a rechargeable battery. The unit is placed on a charger with an AC adapter (both included) when its battery need charging. WARRANTY: Two year warranty.
