iHear Dialer is a cell phone screen reader and a voice output dialing program for cell phone designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. The application (or app) for an iPhone allows the user to dial a phone number without looking at the keypad. When the user moves a finger around the keypad, iHear Dialer will say each number as the finger touches it. The user lifts the finger after the number is read aloud to select if that is the number for dialing then browses to the next number. iHear Dialer also has a "History" tab that saves the six most recently dialed numbers. The user can browse the History tab, hearing each number, and if the finger is lifted after the number is read aloud, the iPhone will call that number. The program has two available voices, Alex (male) and Jules (female). The user can choose to have hyphens displayed as the user dials a number. COMPATIBILITY: For use with the Apple iPhone. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Apple iOS 2.0 or later.
