The Eye-Scan Low Vision is a voice output reading machine and video magnifier designed for individuals who are blind or have low vision. The Eye-Scan Low Vision scans text or numbers or numbers on paper placed on its flatbed scanner, reads the text using optical character recognition (OCR) technology, and speaks the text aloud. The unit starts reading the document within 10 to 12 seconds in a clear female or male voice. The volume is adjustable using a control wheel on the base of the unit. The Eye-Scan Low Vision recognizes paper currency so it may also be used as a money reader. The Eye-Scan Low Vision also is a video magnifier with 18x magnification that displays the text on a 19-inch monitor (included). It also offers enhanced text with multiple color combination options (font, background and highlight colors), and multiple font styles and options. The Eye-Scan Low Vision is controlled with a keypad large tactile buttons. The system comes with reader with EyeScan software installed and internal speakers.
