Talking Icon, model 9199, is a direct selection communicator designed for use by individuals with cognitive or communication disabilities. These small communicators can be used alone or attached together on a tabletop or wheelchair tray to initiate language. Activated by pressing the icon on the top or with an external switch (not included), each unit records and plays one 10-second message and includes an on/Off switch, volume control, and an icon holder with Velcro. Velcro is also included to attach one unit to another. These units can also provide output for activating other devices. POWER: Uses three triple-A batteries. DIMENSIONS (LxWxH): 4.75 x 3.5 x 2.5 inches. The icon holder is 3 inches square.
