The Trekker Breeze is a voice output electronic mobility aid designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. It uses global positioning system (GPS) technology to determine a user's current location, and it verbally announces names of nearby streets, intersections, and landmarks as the user presses a single button. Maps are available for 20 countries as well as for specific regions and localities. When the user is in a vehicle, the unit announces all intersections, allowing the user to exit at the desired location. Routes and landmarks can be saved and recorded for future use. This unit does not have automatic route creation to commercial points of interest. The unit has direct buttons to functions, and the buttons are large and distinctive.
