The Summit Max Lift is an interior stair lift designed for use by individuals with balance, mobility, or walking disabilities. This stair-mounted lift installs on either side of a staircase. Its extruded aluminum track is factory cut to fit the user's stairs. Constant-pressure pendant controls stop the lift when the control is released. It is available with either two hand-activated call controls (24 volt) or wall-mounted call-send controls. Limit switches automatically shut the unit off at the top and bottom of the stairs. The wide seat swivels 180 degrees toward the landing at the top level. A safety switch prevents the lift from running when the seat is not in the proper position. The lift has a 0.5-horsepower motor, a drive system using a 0.19-inch diameter aircraft cable, and a self-locking worm gear brake. The seat is available with vinyl or leather upholstry in three colors. POWER: Uses standard household current, 115 volts alternating current (VAC), 15 amp minimum grounded circuit. DIMENSIONS: Top seat height is 20 inches and the bottom seat height is 23 inches. The maximum travel distance is 20 feet. Incline limits are 30 to 45 degrees, and the lift can be used on a staircase at least 36 inches wide.CAPACITY: 500 pounds. SPEED: 20 feet per minute. WARRANTY: 2 years on parts and 5 years on powertrain; labor is not included.
