The Fusion Portable Keyboard is a word processor designed for use by individuals with learning disabilities. Features include a large liquid crystal display (LCD) with adjustable font sizes, Math 101 math facts practice, and a wide variety of other writing supports. Functions that students use most frequently like the thesaurus, font size adjustment, and word prediction have dedicated keys for one-button access. All other options, like cut and paste, disabling spell check, or adjustments to word prediction settings, are found in the menu. Other features include thesaurus, dictionary, spell check, an instant writing score called iScore, cut/copy/paste, USB ports for file transfer, a split screen vocabulary program, keyboard instruction, writing prompts, automatic headings and automatic Writing checklists on all printouts, 16 password protected student work spaces so different students can use the same unit, with storage of named files and folders in each student's work space. POWER: Uses battery. An optional alternating current (AC) adapter is available. OPTIONS: Infrared receiver for wireless file transfer; text-to-speech and built-in speaker; word prediction; padded case; compact flash with reader/writer; and a USB thumbdrive.
