The Atlas Hitch Lift is a hitch-mounted scooter loader designed for use in vans or sport utility vehicles with third row seating that is not easily removed or does not fold into the floor. The lift works with three- or four-wheel scooters and manual or powered wheelchairs weighing up to 250 pounds. The rear hitch base assembly mounts to a Class II or III hitch. The swing arm enables the rear hatch door to be used without removing the base assembly. This loader features a patented Lift'n Latch Boom Arm. The user lifts the arm up and a spring-loaded latch locks the arm in the raised position. Lifting the arm again releases the latch automatically, allowing the arm to be lowered. The control box is mounted at the end of the arm and the motor is mounted at the base of the lift to reduce the weight of the lift arm.
