The Truncated Dome Surface for Pedestrian Intersection Crossing Points is a detectable warning surface designed for use in outdoor environments for individuals with blindness or low vision. Made of stone and resin composite, this tile is used to provide a warning and to identify the location of a pedestrian crossing point. The tile is used where vehicular traffic meets a pedestrian traffic way or where a lowered curb is used to provide a crossing point. Red tiles are designed to be used on signalled crossing points, while b uff tile is designed for use at non-signalled crossing points. The parallel blister pattern and the layout of the tiles allows wheelchair users to cross unimpeded and the people with visual disabilities to read the position of a crossing and the direction to proceed. The groove matrix on the tile provides a grip surface for wheelchair and cane users where the tile is used on a sloping surface. The tiles come in boxes of eight and the adhesive kit secures on e box of tiles. DIMENSIONS: The tiles are each 2 x 1 foot. COLOR: Red, buff, or black. Custom colors are also available.
