The Payphone TTY is a pay telephone device for the deaf (TDD)designed for use by individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing or who have speech disabilities. This low profile TTY may be mounted on an existing pay phone. Available with or without a cabinet, this high-tech, stainless steel unit consists of a vandal-proof, sealed keyboard (to resist spilled liquids); a bright, 16-character display screen; a call progress indicator. This direct-connect TTY is hard-wired through the tip and ring terminals of the public telephone. Press any key to turn power on and proceed with the TTY call as usual. POWER: Uses rechargeable batteries for three to seven hours of use when fully charged. DIMENSIONS (WxLxH): The required installation area is 9.5 x 8.5 x 1.25. WARRANTY: one-year limited warranty.
