The Carospeed Menox is a hand control for a motor vehicle accelerator and brake, designed for use by drivers with lower extremity disabilities or spinal cord injury. With this universal floor-mounted hand control, the driver pushes to accelerate and pulls to brake. The control is ergonomic, conforming to the user's natural hand-wrist-arm motion. This unit is recommended for use with automatic gearboxes only, and it can be installed in most vehicles. The Menox needs minimal hardware for installation leaving extensive legroom and space for the airbag. The Menox includes a brake pedal holder to engage and set the brake pedal down so hands are freed at traffic lights. The cruise control and horn can be operated from the same rocker switch. An optional gas pedal holder also offers a cruise control function that allows the user to release the handle during long trips while maintaining a constant level of pressure on the accelerator, reducing muscle fatigue and allowing the driver to concentrate on driving which may improve traffic safety. An optional multi-function grip allows the driver to operate headlights, turn indicators, wipers or wiper/washer, and horn from the Menox handle, so any function can be used at the same time as the brakes and accelerator. COLOR: To complement vehicle interiors, the unit is available with a wide range of upholstery.
