---- PROTOTYPE --------- PURPOSE: To create a prototype using non-invasive, glove-based technology to create a telemedicine device for individuals with disabilities. Developed by Augmented Medical Intelligence Labs (AugMI Labs), the Glove Tricorder uses advanced tactile technology and data analytics to quantify, digitize, and analyze important physical functional parameters in a telemedicine setting. Since its original development, the glove has undergone several revisions resulting in its new prototype. The Glove Tricorder allows for assessment of a person's vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen saturation) as well as parameters related to emergency illness, including blood flow. It stores the information and streams all of the data wirelessly through integration with existing electronic medical records (EMRs). This provides real-time information to doctors as a tool to proactively manage outpatient health remotely. AUTHOR: Ravi Parikh.
