The Portix is a portable and compact video magnifier designed for use by individuals with low vision. This self-contained unit has a tiltable, high resolution LCD screen and an auto-focus, rotational camera on a flexible arm. The camera can be switched between desktop, distance, and self-viewing (for personal grooming) modes. The Portix offers full color magnification, five 2-color, high contrast modes (black and white, yellow on blue, blue on white, green on black and black on yellow), and an inverse mode. The user can select the color combination that allows for easier viewing with the user's eye condition. It is suited for reading, writing, personal grooming, and distance viewing. There are memory settings for each camera position. The magnifier folds for storage and transport, and it comes with a laptop-style carrying case. POWER: Uses built-in battery with up to 3 hours of usage. The unit has a power save mode and a low battery indicator. DIMENSIONS: LCD screen measures 10.4 inches diagonally. WEIGHT: 8 pounds.
