Handset amplifier for telephone. Provides gain of up to approximately 30 Db. No batteries or outside power source required. Replaces any modular type handset, no wiring involved. Performs with rotary or push button telephone. FCC approved. Compatible with inductive pick-up/ telecoil on hearing aids. Catalog 2533 is recommended for households in which all are hard of hearing; when phone is replaced on base after using, the volume remains set by volume wheel for next call. Catalog 2534 is recommended for households in which all members are not hard of hearing; when phone is replaced on base after using, the volume automatically returns to normal level for next call. Use Catalog 2541 ( volume control) or 2542 (touch bar) for older style phones with the cords wired directly into the handset and base (non-modular type phones). Handsets have attached cord and four connecting spade clips to attach inside base of phone. The metal piece on the back of the telephone must be removed and different colored wires matched up.
