The Select-A-Meal Program, model SM-21Q, is an independent living skills tutorial designed to teach public dining skills to people with cognitive disabilities. Students are assisted with menu selection and etiquette in fast food, cafeteria style, and table service restaurants. The program includes the Select-A-Meal Picture Set, model SM-11Q (see separate entry), curriculum (model SM-02Q, $79), and a video and video guide (model SM-03Q, $59). The curriculum includes an instructor's guide with lesson plans and instructions and a resource file containing step-by-step picture pages, miniature restaurant cards, communication cues, money aids, and data sheets. The companion video demonstrates how students can put the concepts of the program to use.
