Reader Rabbit 1 & 2 are academic tutorial programs designed to strengthen reading, spelling, word recognition and vocabulary skills for children with a developmental disability. Reader Rabbit 1 is an early reading program featuring challenging, game-like activities with an acrobratic rabbit, animated graphics and sound effects. There are four imaginative, sequenced games with activities that help beginners improve letter and word recognition, memory skills and vocabulary. Reader Rabbit 2 is a follow up to the first and develops word recognition, spelling and vocabulary skills. As Reader Rabbit and his friends take a train ride through Wordville's crystal word mine, vowel pond, match patch and wacky barnyard dance, children learn vowel sounds, word building, word concepts and dictionary skilld. Each of the activities is sequenced with multiple levels for challenging, long-lasting play. Activities for both programs may be customized to suit each individual's needs.
