The Varna 1 is a hand propelled three wheeled human powered vehicle designed as a recreational and commuting vehicle for both athletes and amateurs who have a lower limb disability. It is especially suitable for amputees. FRAME: The frame is made of chrome-moly. The footrest to seat distance is adjustable and the leg to seat surface angle varies. Measurements are 66Lx 24W x 30H. Ground rail height is 6 inches. STEERING: The steering is controlled by leaning the torso left and right, tipping the seat and rear of the cycle while holding the pedal arm cranks. These arm cranks are adjustable to accomodate varying arm lengths but do not lean. This allows a place for steady upright support which eliminates the usual problem with lean bikes, tipping without stability. DRIVE: Rear wheel drive. The bike has a turning radius of 15 feet. The width the cycle can turn in one back maneuver is 8 feet. SEAT: The seat measures 30 inches wide, 12 inches deep, and back height is 30 inches. The back angle on the seat is 45 degrees. WEIGHT: 32 to 38 pounds. COLORS: Red, blue or black. WARRANTY: Two years on frame. DELIVERY TIME: 4 to 6 weeks.
