Picture Cue Dictionary is a voice output dictionary program designed to enhance vocabulary used in everyday activities for individuals with a cognitive disability. There are five life skill software programs (dictionaries) in all that cover personal care, housekeeping, dining out, scheduling, and shopping skills. With each Dictionary, the instructor can determine the vocabulary needs and make a picture word list for the student. A multiple choice quiz gives feedback on their progress. To further reinforce language skills, every picture talks. Picture printouts can be used for community outings (for example, as a grocery list for grocery shopping). All programs feature colorful graphics, human quality speech and are TouchWindow (see separate entry) accessible. The package includes the following Dictionaries: Shopping, Select-A-Meal, Looking Good, Keeping House, and Plan Your Day. COMPATIBILITY: For use with IBM or Apple Macintosh computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: For Macintosh, PowerMac and OS 7.6 or later. For Windows, Pentium processor and Windows 95 or later with a sound card. Both versions require 16-bit high color graphics.
