The Hungry Shark and Friends is an early reading and math skills tutorial program designed for use by children with cognitive and physical disabilities. The program offers six animated activities, each with its own colorful overlay; writing extensions using IntelliTalk (see separate entry); 30 pages of enrichment activities and reproducible masters; and adaptations for keyguard and switch users. The activities include Four Stripy Fish Swimming in the Sea (counting, sequencing, and rhyming skills), At the Beach I Saw Seven Red Starfish (counting and color identification), On Monday I Went to the Pet Shop with My Mother (story creation), What Am I Wearing? (visual discrimination and matching), I Have Three Bags of Wool. Who Am I? (nursery rhyme characters), and When My Dog Sleeps in my Bed, I Feel Happy (feelings). The IntelliPics (see separate entry) player is included with this software. COMPATIBILITY: For use on Macintosh Systems. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Runs on any Macintosh System with a hard drive, 8 megabytes (MB) RAM, System 7 or higher, a color monitor, and IntelliKeys (see separate entry). IntelliTalk is recommended but not required.
