Thermo-Pen I

Thermo-Pen I is a thermal pen designed for use in the creation of tactile images and messages for individuals who are blind or have low vision. Thermo-Pen I is a writing instrument designed to create a raised image directly on Flexi - Paper tactile graphics paper (see separate entry). Thermo-Pen I is a portable device that works with a battery pack. When the pen is plugged into the battery pack it is ready to produce images directly onto Flexi - Paper. A tactile image is formed on Flexi-Paper by holding Thermo-Pen I vertically and passing it slowly across the paper (no pressure necessary). POWER: Uses two 9-volt batteries (not included).
