The Future Keyboard is an ergonomic keyboard desighed for use by individuals with carpal tunnel syndrome or other repetetive motion injuries, limited range of motion, or other upper extremity disabilities. This keyboard is comprised of three physically separate sections. The two keyboard sections form a roughly triangular shape, with each side positioned with a slightly inverted slope and lateral declination to reduce muscle strain and fatigue. The keys are also positioned with a light negative tilt, aleviating the angling of the4 wrists. A touch pad is built in the center with four cursor keys surrounding it. Tapping these keys move the cursor up, down, right, or left. The fully-adjustable numeric keypad is the separate third section of the keyboard.
