BRIEF: New Alzheimer's caregivers support group in Greenville
Dayton Daily News - 10/30/2018
Oct. 29--DARKE COUNTY -- Family members caring for loved ones with Alzheimer's or Dementia now have a new resource in Darke County.
The Alzheimer's Association Miami Valley Chapter has started a local Alzheimer's support group dedicated to caregivers, according to a release.
The group meets the third Wednesday each month from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Brethren Retirement Community, 750 Chestnut Street. The next session will be on Wednesday, Nov. 21.
"Our caregiver support groups are meetings where loved ones of individuals with Dementia can go to get emotional support, suggestions, and ideas from others who are walking a similar path. At the Alzheimer's Association, we want caregivers to know they don't have to face this disease alone," said Rebecca Hall, Director of Care and Support for the Alzheimer's Association.
