Medicare enrollment help available through Pima Council on Aging

Oct. 25--Medicare open enrollment is open now until Dec. 7 for Arizonans age 65 and older and some younger people with disabilities. If you do not already have care or are interested in changing your plan, there are many resources available to help you through the process.

Counselors for the Pima Council on Aging are available now to provide information, answer questions and assist you in Medicare Open Enrollment at no cost.

On Friday, Oct. 26, the council on aging will host a Medicare open enrollment presentation followed by Q&A session. It is scheduled for 1:30-4 p.m. at Woods Memorial Library, 3455 N. 1st Ave.

Four more sessions will be held between now and the end of the enrollment period:

* Nov. 3 from 1:30-4:40 p.m. at the Oro Valley Public Library, 1305 W. Naranja Drive.

* Nov. 6 from 2-5 p.m. at the Murphy-Wilmot Library, 530 N. Wilmot Road.

* Nov. 9 from 1-4 p.m. at the Mission Public Library, 3770 S. Mission Road.

* Dec. 4. from 2-5 p.m. at the Murphy-Wilmot Library.

Individual assistance is also available at various locations in and around Tucson, also for no cost, including at the Pima Council on Aging, at 8467 E. Broadway, from now through Dec. 7 from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
