Kids bring cheer to nursing home residents

McCook Community College's Caring Kids class recently visited with residents of Hillcrest Nursing Home and brought them homemade Christmas cards. Caring kids included, from left: Kale Sattler, Kacy Anderson, Jackie Sattler and Abi Nielsen. Hillcrest residents included Charlotte Lawson, Phoebe Bullis, Edna Jessup and Don Crocker. The Caring Kids class once a month from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. on Wednesdays. There is no course fee for the class, but involvement in the community service projects are required.
