Local nursing home praised for care given to family member

To the editor:

I want to publicly thank Hermitage Health Care for the wonderful care they gave my mother, Settie Garland, while she was a resident there.

In a time when all you hear is bad news, I think it is important to recognize the wonderful people at Hermitage Health Care.

My mom suffered a stroke almost two years ago at the age of 89 and passed away this past August 24. Everyone at the center was kind to her - from administration, CNAs, nursing, housekeeping, dietary, and activities. Also, a special thanks to Dr. Vivian Clark and her PA, Ann Deal.

All these people showed Mom and me and all our family and friends nothing but love and compassion. They provided my mother with the best of care from the day she was admitted until the day she died.

I will never forget you. You will always hold a special place in my heart.
