Man missing after walking away from nursing home

Vicksburg police and Warren County first responders are looking for a 76-year-old man with dementia who walked away from Shady Lawn Nursing home Monday.

Police Chief Milton Moore said James Jenkins walked out of the door of the nursing home late Monday morning and had not been seen since. He was last seen wearing a green sweater and khaki pants.

He said authorities are searching the wooded area behind the nursing home, the Porters Chapel/Indiana Avenue area, and the areas along North and South Frontage roads.
