BRIEF: Tournament raising muddy money once again

Enid News & Eagle - 6/19/2017

June 19--ENID, Okla. -- The annual mud volleyball fundraiser for Miracle League will be held next weekend, supporting both the Enid T-ball league for people with disabilities and the park where they play.

This year's tournament will start at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Scooters, 3630 N Van Buren Bypass.

Food trucks, a beer truck and non-alcoholic concessions will be available, and those who wish can bring their own coolers containing any beverage (no glass containers) for a $100 fee.

All funds raised will benefit the Miracle League and renovations at ABC Park.

Twenty teams are registered and will compete for a cash prize. There also will be a most creative team prize.

Teams of six- to 10 people still can register for $375.

In addition to volleyball, there will be a frozen T-shirt contest, which can be entered for $20, and a prize for the winner. (Participants take a T-shirt that has been frozen into a block of ice, run a course, and then unthaw the shirt enough to put it on.)

An award ceremony for Miracle League players will be held around noon.
