Alzheimer's Association offers family ed program

The Alzheimer's Association announces an education program in Menomonie for those who have questions about Alzheimer's disease or related dementias. There is no charge to attend.

"Healthy Living for Your Brain & Body: Tips from the Latest Research" is the latest workshop being offered in the community room at Shirley Doane Senior Center (1412 Sixth Street, Menomonie) from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 2. Participants will learn about diet, exercise, cognitive activity, social engagement and how to create a plan for healthy aging.

The program is open to families and caregivers and presented by Alzheimer's Association staff and trained representatives. Registration is not required. The programs ais made possible, in part, by funds raised through the Walk to End Alzheimer's.
