BRIEF: Underwriting 'Happiness'

Lockport Union-Sun & Journal (NY) - 2/27/2015

Feb. 27--WRIGHTS CORNERS -- For a third consecutive year, Howell Motors Ford is helping Camp Happiness live its name.

The auto dealership donated $10,000 to the program earlier this month, which provides a week of day camp every year for people 12 and older who have intellectual or developmental disabilities. The camp is conducted at Lockport Family YMCA'sCamp Kenan in Barker and campers participate in activities including hiking, archery, fishing, swimming, campfires and arts and crafts.

Camp Happiness is a joint project of the YMCA, Lockport Elks Lodge No. 41 and Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara.

Howell Motors' relationship with Camp Happiness began three years ago as a part of Ford's "Go Forward with Ford Fusion Night," an event that coincided with the rollout of the new Fusion design. For every person who came to the dealership that night, Howell Motors made a matching donation and Camp Happiness was chosen as the beneficiary.

Mike Landers, owner of Howell Motors Ford, is a proud parent of a Camp Happiness camper and Opportunities Unlimited consumer.
