Diabetes clinic gets back to basic with carbohydrates in Eureka

Apr. 12—EUREKA — The University of Illinois Extension's diabetes clinic is returning Thursday, April 18 to Eureka Methodist Church with a class called "Back to Basics — Diet and Diabetes."
Jenna Smith, the extension's nutrition and wellness educator and a registered dietitian, will lead a one-hour, informal class about carbohydrates and how people with diabetes can incorporate them into their diets.
There is no cost for the program, and no registration is necessary.
The class will be held 12:30-1:30 p.m.April 18 at 208 N. Callender St. in Eureka.
